The Trustees of Reservations preserve, for public use and enjoyment, properties of exceptional scenic, historic, and ecological value in Massachusetts. The organization works to protect the celebrating and protecting the distinctive charms of New England, for everyone, forever.

The trustees owns several parcels along the river suitable for day use by river users, including a parcel where 190 million year dinosaur footprints can be found.
