Appalachian Mountain Club

The nation's oldest outdoor recreation and conservation organization, the Appalachian Mountain Club promotes the protection, enjoyment, and understanding of the mountains, forests, waters, and trails of the Appalachian region. AMC is serving as the coordinator for the Southern Chapter of the Friends' of The Connecticut River Paddlers' Trail.

AMC works to connecting people to the outdoors and actively engaging them in a way that encourages the stewardship and understanding of our natural resources. The organization seeks to make kinds of transformative outdoor experiences available to as many young people as possible, wherever they live and regardless of resources.

AMC is a leader in regional conservation initiatives, with a history of coalition building around regional conservation issues puts us in an exceptional position to address the challenges facing our region and nation in the coming decade.
