Access was not marked at all. There were no apparent landing spots anywhere on the south end of the island, even with water levels 3' low. There was only one place to land on the island and that was at the very north point where there is a huge pile of driftwood. Even that spot would not be a good campsite. This place does need an adoption and lots of TLC. I do not recommend staying here until it gets adequate care.

A group of 5 of us stayed here on our way down the river, beautiful campsite. There is a marked landing spot on the southernmost tip of the island, but the path from there to the campsite is overgrown. However the GPS coordinates listed are the location of the path going directly to the campsite. It is admittedly a little difficult to get onto the trail because it's a little steep when the water is low, but there are ropes in place to help get up, and we just handed gear from the boats up. We had stopped at Jarvis Island earlier and there was a decent campsite, but not nearly as nice (the ground was a bit muddy).
